American Medical Security Health Insurance Details

- MedOne Plus: This plan carries different benefit options with it, including one, the XL option, which provides members with a $150 benefit just for x-ray and laboratory services. Deductible levels and co-insurance amounts vary, but they all cover hospitalization, emergency, well-child and other preventive benefits.
- MedOne Security: Members have a range of deductible options, up to $10,000. Hospitalization, outpatient, prescription drug coverage, vision benefits and well-child/immunizations are covered. Optional coverage includes supplemental accident and term life insurance.
American Medical Security also offers a consumer-driven option through its MedOne HSAvings. This plan allows members to place money in a tax-advantaged savings account, which can then be drawn upon when a medical emergency arises. In addition, they offer short-term medical insurance to cover those who need 1-6 months of coverage in between insurance plans, as well as Dental coverage for major services such as extractions, crown replacements and emergency services.
