As resilient as they are forward-thinking, residents of Florida shake it off and move to the next wave. With this in mind, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, which has been working in the state since 1941, offers them a wide range insurance plans to choose from, including:

BlueOptions^SM PPO: This comprehensive coverage plan offers a choice of deductibles ranging from $500-$2,500. You also choose a co-insurance from 0%-30%. Routine office visits are covered with a small co-payment, as are generic drugs. Preventive care is offered with no deductible required. Optional maternity rider available.
BlueCare HMO: $10-$15 usually covers the preventive office visit, including vision or hearing screenings. Hospitalization is covered at $150/day, and may include ICU, therapy, and surgery. Generic and brand name prescription drugs are covered with a co-pay; optional maternity coverage is available.
Dimension IV^SM (DIV): This traditional plan offers a 25% co-insurance. Hospitalization and office visits are covered at this percentage, as are outpatient services such as laboratory. Prescription drug coverage is available when in-network. This plan does not offer maternity.
Essential^SM: There is a 20% co-insurance with this plan. It covers only catastrophic injury care and hospitalization. $250 deductible is required, and a $250/admission charge. Covered within the plan is operating room, intensive care, semi-private room and board, drugs and lab.
